About Amie D.

Amie D. Miller is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1997. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Miller is the founder and principal attorney at the Law Office of Amie D. Miller, a firm dedicated exclusively to immigration law, located in San Francisco, California. She has been practicing law for over 28 years, serving clients throughout the Bay Area and beyond.

Ms. Miller earned her Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1994, where she served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association and was a State Finalist on the Moot Court Board. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, graduating in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. During her time at the University of Florida, she was the President of the pre-law organization, Phi Alpha Delta, and led the Speech and Debate Team to a state championship in Informative Speaking.

Ms. Miller concentrates her practice in the areas of immigration and nationality law. She represents individuals and families in matters involving family-based immigration, asylum, and humanitarian applications, including Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and U visas. Her practice encompasses all stages of immigration proceedings, including initial consultations, application preparation, interviews, appeals, and federal court litigation.

Throughout her career, Ms. Miller has handled cases before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, Immigration Court, Board of Immigration Appeals, and Federal Court. She is admitted to practice law in California and Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. She has been recognized as a Northern California Super Lawyer each year since 2009.

Ms. Miller is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and has served on the Board of the Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom. She has been recognized with the Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services in 2001 for her advocacy on behalf of low-income immigrants. Ms. Miller is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to serve the diverse communities of the Bay Area effectively.
