About Brian J
Brian J Green earned his J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1999 after completing a B.A. at the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. He completed his legal education at a time when commercial and financial litigation were growing in complexity. The academic record laid a foundation in research and statutory interpretation that has informed his subsequent practice.
After law school Green joined Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP as an associate. He has practiced in New York and Massachusetts and holds admission to the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Those admissions have enabled him to participate in matters that require federal court appearances as well as state-level practice. His work as an associate at Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge placed him within a firm environment handling corporate and insurance-related legal matters.
Outside the firm, Green has taken on organizational roles within the reinsurance community. Since 2008 he has served as president of the U.S. Reinsurance Under 40s Group, a position he continues to hold. That long-running role has kept him engaged with peers across the industry and provided a platform for discussion of legal and business issues affecting reinsurers and insurers. His membership in professional organizations complements his firm work and reflects sustained involvement in the insurance and reinsurance sectors.
Colleagues and clients have encountered him in both transactional and litigation settings. His practice experience includes representation in matters that implicate insurance coverage, policy interpretation and related dispute resolution. He maintains an office affiliation with Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge, where he continues to practice law. His current practice involves insurance and reinsurance matters and related commercial litigation.
