Dacely Garcia is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2001. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Garcia is the founder and principal attorney at the Law Offices of Dacely D. Garcia, APLC, located at 424 F Street, Suite A, San Diego, CA 92101. She represents clients in both state and federal criminal matters throughout Southern California.
Ms. Garcia earned her Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law in 2001. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at California State University, Dominguez Hills, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication and Spanish Literature in 1996. During her time at California Western, she was involved with the Public Interest Law Foundation, La Raza Law Students Association, and the California Innocence Project.
Ms. Garcia's practice areas include criminal defense, appellate representation, and select civil rights litigation. She handles cases at all stages of the criminal process, from initial investigations to post-conviction appeals. Her civil rights work involves representing clients in matters related to unlawful detainer actions and other civil rights issues.
Throughout her career, Ms. Garcia has been admitted to practice before various courts, including the California State Courts and the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. She has been practicing law for over 25 years, providing her with extensive experience in criminal defense and civil rights litigation.
Ms. Garcia is an active member of the San Diego County Bar Association and the Lawyers Club of San Diego. She serves as the Vice President of Community Outreach for the Federal Bar Association San Diego Chapter and is a member of Latinas in the Law. She is also involved in mentorship programs, guiding new Criminal Justice Act panel attorneys, law students through Latinas in Law, and high school students at Crawford High School.
