About Eddy

Eddy Hsu attended the University of California, Berkeley for his undergraduate degree and went on to earn his J.D. from the University of San Francisco. His academic path kept him close to the Bay Area legal community. Those formative years gave him grounding in legal research and courtroom procedure.

After law school Hsu gained admission to practice in California and was also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has pursued work that spans both state and federal dockets. Over time his practice has come to include matters that require appellate briefing as well as trial-court advocacy.

Hsu’s courtroom experience includes drafting briefs, preparing motions, and presenting oral argument before judges. He handles procedural and substantive briefing, and he appears at hearings in both trial and appellate settings. His record reflects an emphasis on clear written advocacy and careful preparation for hearings and arguments.

He operates the Law Office of Eddy Hsu. The office handles cases filed in California state courts and matters brought in federal court where Ninth Circuit jurisdiction is at issue. As a solo practitioner, Hsu manages case strategy, client counseling, and court filings. He works directly with clients on case development and oversees each phase from initial pleadings through appellate review when cases proceed beyond trial.

Colleagues and clients describe Hsu as thorough and meticulous in his legal work. He places particular value on researching legal precedent and on constructing arguments that respond directly to the issues judges identify. His work often involves tracing developments in case law and applying those decisions to the facts at hand.

Outside the courtroom Hsu continues to engage with legal materials and stays current on decisions that affect practice in the Ninth Circuit and California courts. He maintains active admission in the Ninth Circuit and in California, which allows him to take cases at both levels. His current practice concentrates on litigation in California state courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
