About Evan

Evan Brown began his legal trajectory at Wabash College, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in 1993. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver College of Law in 2000. Those formative years set a steady course toward practice in both Colorado and Illinois.

After law school, Brown secured admission to the Colorado bar in 2001 and to the Illinois bar in 2002. He added federal admission the following year, gaining the right to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 2003. These credentials built the platform for a practice that spans multiple courts and jurisdictions.

Early in his career he joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP as an associate. At the firm he worked on matters that required coordination across state lines and in federal court. His time as an associate exposed him to the rhythms of firm practice: preparing filings, assisting in motion practice, and supporting trial teams. Colleagues remember him as practical in approach and steady under deadline pressure.

Brown’s professional path reflects a steady accumulation of courtroom and courtroom-adjacent experience. He handled filings and procedural work in both state and federal dockets, and he developed familiarity with case management in different judicial settings. The record of admissions suggests a lawyer comfortable operating under varied procedural rules and ready to accept assignments that carry cross-jurisdictional implications.

Outside strictly procedural tasks, Brown’s practice required client communication and teamwork with other attorneys. He worked on the factual development of matters, helped marshal documents, and supported oral argument preparation. Those responsibilities demanded attention to detail and an ability to translate complex legal issues into clear steps for clients and colleagues.

Peers describe his career as steady and practical rather than headline-grabbing. He built a foundation of work that supports larger litigation efforts. That foundation includes classroom training from Denver and Wabash and hands-on experience in Chicago and beyond. Over the years he has maintained registrations and court admissions that enable work in both Colorado and Illinois.

He continues to hold licenses in Colorado and Illinois and remains admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He practices law in Colorado and Illinois.
