About Heather

Heather Ford began her academic life in the sciences. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Dillard University in 2002. That training taught close attention to data and methodical problem solving. She carried those habits into law school and received her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans in 2006.

After law school she entered legal practice. Over the years she has applied a scientific sensibility to legal problems, parsing complex documents and evidence the way a scientist examines results. Colleagues have described her approach as methodical and disciplined. She has balanced careful analysis with the practical demands of casework and client needs.

Her chemistry background informs the types of matters she is comfortable handling. Technical records, regulatory filings and evidence that turn on scientific detail are areas where that background can be an asset. She has experience explaining technical concepts in plain language for clients, opposing counsel and decision-makers.

Ford also maintains memberships in professional associations and participates in the legal community. She has kept current on developments through continuing education and association activities. Her professional affiliations have provided a venue for staying abreast of changes in law and practice and for exchanging perspectives with peers.

Today she continues to practice law. Her work combines analytical rigor with attention to practical outcomes. She counsels clients, manages cases and addresses issues that benefit from both legal training and an understanding of scientific principles. As of 2026 she maintains an active practice focused on client representation, case management and translating technical information into legal strategy.
