About Jason Robert
Jason Robert Holley built his legal foundation in California. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and international relations from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2011, then went on to the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 2014. His law school training included coursework and certificates in criminal justice and trial advocacy.
His early legal years were spent in a series of clerkships that exposed him to trial practice and public defense work. In 2012 he clerked at the Placer County Public Defender’s Office. The next year took him overseas to the United Nations, where he served in the judges’ chambers at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia. In 2014 he worked both for the Federal Defender for the Eastern District of California and at the Law Offices of Robert M. Holley as a law clerk.
After those formative positions he moved into private practice. Since 2016 he has worked as a lawyer at the Law Offices of Jason R. Holley and now operates from the Holley Criminal Defense Law Offices. That trajectory reflects time spent in public defense settings and federal practice, then a transition into a practice centered on clients facing criminal charges.
Certification programs are part of his background. He completed juvenile criminal defense training through the Pacific Juvenile Defender Center and holds advocacy and criminal justice certificates from McGeorge. Those programs are practical additions to courtroom experience and to the clerkships that shaped his early career.
Members of the legal community will find him listed with California Lawyers for Criminal Justice. His résumé shows steady engagement with institutions tied to criminal defense, from local public defenders to a federal defender’s office and an international tribunal. The variety of those posts informs how he approaches cases and prepares for trial.
In practice he handles criminal matters and juvenile cases, emphasizing courtroom representation and trial work. He represents clients in state courts across California and brings experience from both defense offices and private practice to each case. He currently practices at Holley Criminal Defense Law Offices, where his work centers on criminal and juvenile defense matters.
