About Jennifer
Jennifer Moroux built her legal foundation at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, where she earned her J.D. Her time in law school prepared her for courtroom practice and for the procedural demands of federal filings. She went on to gain admissions that allow her to appear before the 5th Circuit, the Louisiana bar, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana.
Moroux began her career in private practice. In 2008 she joined Donohue Patrick & Scott / Crawford Lewis as a lawyer, where she handled litigation and court preparation tasks for the firm’s caseload. That early experience exposed her to case strategy, client counseling and the mechanics of trial work in state court.
She moved into public service in 2013 as a lawyer with the Louisiana Department of Education. There she worked on matters arising at the intersection of law and state education policy. The position required attention to regulatory detail and to the procedural rules that govern agency decision-making.
In 2014 Moroux returned to private practice as a lawyer at Walters, Papillion, Thomas, Cullens. Her career since then has involved practice in both state and federal forums, drawing on her admissions to multiple district courts and the 5th Circuit. Colleagues describe her as thorough and steady in the courtroom, with an orientation toward careful legal analysis and client communication.
Outside of casework she maintains memberships in several professional organizations. She is active in the Baton Rouge Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association. She also belongs to the Louisiana Association for Justice and the Wex Malone American Inn of Court, where she participates in continuing legal education and professional development programs.
The arc of her career shows a mix of private and public practice that has kept her work grounded in both litigation and administrative matters. She has handled filings in federal district courts and argued matters in state court settings. That breadth has given her experience in procedural practice across jurisdictions.
Today she is based at Walters, Papillion, Thomas, Cullens, where she represents clients in matters brought in state and federal courts. Her current practice focuses on representing clients in state and federal courts.
