John Howley is a seasoned trial lawyer with over 30 years of experience in employment law and whistleblower litigation. He is the managing partner of The Howley Law Firm P.C., located at 1345 6th Avenue, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10105. The firm specializes in employment disputes, including sexual harassment, wage and hour class actions, wrongful termination. Discrimination cases. Mr. Howley earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from New York Law School in 1988, where he served as Articles Editor of the Law Review. He completed his undergraduate studies at Skidmore College, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Government and History in 1980. After law school, he clerked for Judge Roger J. Miner on the U.S.
Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He then joined Kaye Scholer LLP, where he became a partner in the firm's litigation department. During his tenure, he represented major pharmaceutical companies in government investigations, class actions, and criminal litigation. In 2008, Mr. Howley transitioned to serve as President and CEO of Davies Energy Systems, Inc., an ISO 9001 certified energy services company in Southeast Asia. He managed teams delivering energy audits and efficiency solutions to over 70 multinational corporations and regional conglomerates. In 2012, he returned to his legal roots, founding The Howley Law Firm P.C. to provide individuals with the same level of expertise and aggressive advocacy he previously offered corporate clients. His firm has achieved significant victories, including a $141 million settlement in Roberts v.
Texaco and a $103 million settlement in McReynolds v. Sodexho Marriott Services. Mr. Howley is admitted to practice in New York, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern. Northern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association's Litigation Section, and The Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
He is also the Chairman Emeritus of the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. and serves on the Board of Directors of the Philippine Disaster Recovery Corporation. Mr. Howley has been recognized with several honors, including The Thurgood Marshall Award from the New York City Bar Association, The Medal for Excellence in Advocacy from the American College of Trial Lawyers. The Gideon Champion of Justice Award from the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has also been named one of New York's Super Lawyers.
