Julius Harmond Hughey is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1990. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Hughey is the principal attorney at J. Harmond Hughey, Attorney at Law, a solo practice located in Walnut Creek, California. He has been practicing law for over 35 years, serving clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Mr. Hughey earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1989. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Antioch College, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985. During his time at the University of San Francisco, he developed a strong foundation in legal principles, preparing him for a diverse legal career.
Mr. Hughey concentrates his practice in the areas of family law, including child custody, child support, divorce, paternity, premarital agreements, spousal support, and visitation rights. He also handles business law matters, alternative dispute resolution, deportation cases, leases and leasing, litigation, automobile accidents, and dog bites. Prior to establishing his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in San Francisco for several years.
Mr. Hughey is an active member of the California State Bar Association. He holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Family Law. He is also a certified mediator through the Contra Costa County Superior Court mediation program. Mr. Hughey is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of the San Francisco Bay Area effectively.
