About Kendra
Kendra Bowen earned her J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco in 1990. She completed her legal studies after several years of preparation and entered a field that would occupy most of her career. Her education at UC Law San Francisco provided a foundation in trusts and estates law and the civil practice skills she would use in later roles.
Bowen is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Her professional record includes positions as an estate planning lawyer at Vanguard Legal Group beginning in 2012 and at Fidelity Law Offices, APC in 2016. Those roles placed her in the practical work of drafting estate plans, preparing trust documents and assisting clients through probate and related proceedings.
Her practice centers on estate planning. She advises individuals and families about wills and trusts, prepares powers of attorney and advance health care directives, and handles probate administration. Bowen also works with clients on strategies for transferring assets and on basic tax considerations that arise in estate matters. Her day-to-day work blends document preparation, client counseling and coordination with financial advisors or tax professionals when cases require it.
Colleagues describe Bowen as methodical in approach. She aims to clarify technical issues for clients so they can make informed choices about their estates. She frequently meets with families to understand their priorities and constraints. That practical emphasis shows in the way she manages files and communicates next steps to clients and fiduciaries.
Bowen has maintained ties to the California Bar Association, where she is a current member. That connection keeps her abreast of state rule changes and continuing legal education opportunities relevant to estate law. It also provides a forum for the exchange of practical information with other estate practitioners across the state.
She practices across the Bay Area from multiple offices, including locations in Los Gatos, Oakland, Sunnyvale, Walnut Creek, San Jose, Cupertino, San Mateo, San Francisco and Palo Alto. Her work involves both one-on-one client meetings and coordination with other professionals when matters require accounting or tax expertise. She currently practices estate planning for private clients and their families.
