About Lindsey

Lindsey Johnson earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Tennessee—Knoxville and completed her Juris Doctor at Nashville School of Law in 2018. Her academic path combined classroom study of governance and lawyering skills. She moved from theoretical study to the practical demands of courtroom procedure and client counseling during law school.

After law school, Johnson entered practice in Tennessee. She is admitted to the Tennessee bar and is an active member of local and national bar organizations. Early in her career she built experience handling contested matters and negotiated settlements. Those early cases shaped her approach to client work: direct, procedural, and attentive to the timelines courts impose.

Johnson holds memberships in the Fifteenth Judicial District Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She maintains ties to colleagues across the state and participates in association events and local bar activities. Those connections keep her current on procedural developments and regional courtroom practices.

Her day-to-day practice is rooted in family law. At Kane & Crowell Family Law Center she works on divorce proceedings, child custody and parenting plans, support matters and related hearings. Her work includes preparing pleadings, presenting evidence at temporary hearings, and negotiating settlement terms. She represents clients in contested and uncontested matters and guides them through the procedural steps that follow filing.

Johnson’s courtroom work is balanced by time spent counseling clients on strategy and next steps after each court date. She explains options plainly and lays out likely timelines. That practical counsel aims to help clients make informed choices under often stressful circumstances.

Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparation and steady in court. She continues to develop her practice through casework and by staying engaged with the bar organizations where she holds membership. She is currently practicing family law at Kane & Crowell Family Law Center, handling divorce, custody, and support matters in Tennessee.
