About Marcus Aaron

Marcus Aaron Spake built the foundation of his legal career in North Carolina. He studied at Appalachian State University, earning his undergraduate degree in 2004, and later received his law degree from Charlotte School of Law in 2011. Those years in school set the stage for a practitioner who has stayed connected to the region where he trained.

He began practicing after law school and joined Stewart Law Offices, where he works as a lawyer. Over time his work has centered on matters that affect employees and people hurt on the job. His membership in the North Carolina Bar Association Workers Compensation Section and the Workers Injury Law & Advocacy Group signals that much of his day-to-day work involves workplace injury and compensation claims.

Spake’s professional affiliations extend beyond those groups. He belongs to the Mecklenburg County Bar Association and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. He is also a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association and the law fraternity Delta Theta Phi. Those memberships reflect both a local practice and connections to broader professional networks.

Colleagues describe him as steady and thorough in handling procedural and evidentiary matters. He spends time preparing hearings, drafting pleadings, and consulting with medical providers and vocational experts when claims require it. He represents clients at administrative hearings and in negotiations, seeking resolutions that take account of medical histories and the economic realities workers face after an injury.

Spake’s legal education came during a period of change in North Carolina law on workplace issues. That timing exposed him to evolving rules and administrative procedures. He has kept current through bar section activity and continuing legal education offered by professional groups he belongs to. Those activities feed directly into the practical work he performs for clients.

Outside the office he takes part in bar events and section meetings. Those gatherings serve as a place to exchange ideas about case law and regulatory updates. His memberships in statewide and national groups indicate interest in both local and broader developments that affect workplace injury law.

Today he practices at Stewart Law Offices in North Carolina. He handles workers’ compensation and workplace injury matters and represents clients in administrative hearings and settlement negotiations as part of his current practice focus.
