About Mark David

Mark David Taticchi built a legal résumé that moves between courtrooms and large firm corridors. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2007 and earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in 2010. Those years set the foundation for a practice that has combined appellate work, complex litigation, and regulatory matters.

Early in his career Taticchi served as a law clerk to the Hon. Sandra S. Ikuta on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in 2010. He joined Covington & Burling LLP as an associate in 2011 and then spent a year clerking at the Supreme Court of the United States in 2012. After the clerkship he returned to private practice and worked as an associate at Sidley Austin LLP beginning in 2013.

In 2016 he moved to Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP as an associate. Four years later he became a partner at Faegre Drinker, a role he has held since 2020. That progression from clerkships to associate roles and then partnership reflects a steady accumulation of appellate and trial experience across multiple venues.

Taticchi is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New York and the District of Columbia. He also holds admissions or appearances in several federal appellate circuits, including the Second, Third, Sixth and Seventh Circuits, and in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Eastern District of New York. He maintains memberships in the District of Columbia Bar, the New York State Bar and the Pennsylvania State Bar.

Colleagues describe his approach to cases as methodical. He prepares briefs and oral arguments for appellate courts and handles complex civil litigation matters at the trial level. His work involves interpreting appellate precedent, drafting dispositive motions and advising clients on procedural and jurisdictional issues. The record of clerkships and federal court practice gives him experience on both sides of the bench.

Outside of courtroom filings, Taticchi’s practice includes advising on litigation strategy and procedural posture in multi-jurisdictional matters. He has worked on matters that require coordination across circuits and between district and appellate courts. He combines time on the federal bench with sustained private practice experience.

Taticchi currently practices as a partner at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP and focuses his practice on appellate litigation, complex civil disputes and federal court matters.
