About Peter Min-Su

Peter Min-Su Kyung built his academic foundation at the University of California, Davis, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese and Political Science in 2007. He later attended the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2011. Those studies established language skills and an understanding of political structures that would inform his later legal work.

After law school, Kyung pursued admission to practice in California and in the Ninth Circuit. He has practiced in the immigration space, handling matters that touch family-based petitions, naturalization, removal defense, and related federal filings. His courtroom practice includes representation before immigration courts and appellate filings in federal court where appropriate.

Kyung’s approach to cases is practical and document-driven. He emphasizes clear communication with clients and careful preparation of petitions and motions. He has experience preparing supporting affidavits, drafting legal memoranda, and compiling the administrative records that immigration adjudicators and federal courts require. Colleagues describe him as methodical; clients rely on thorough filings rather than theatrical courtroom tactics.

His background in Chinese language and political science informs how he reads country conditions and client narratives. That combination helps when assembling country reports or explaining governmental procedures to noncitizen clients. It also aids in translating factual stories into the legal framework that governs admissibility, relief, and removal.

Kyung has established a practice in California that serves individuals and families facing immigration issues. He works at Kyung Immigration Law Office, A Professional Law Corporation (KILO Immigration), where he manages case intake, drafts filings, and appears in hearings. The office handles a spectrum of cases, from adjustment of status interviews to asylum and cancellation of removal, and supports clients through each procedural step.

Outside the courtroom, Kyung stays current on changes to immigration regulations and federal circuit precedent that affect his clients. He regularly reviews new guidance and adjusts filing strategies to reflect shifting enforcement priorities and legal developments. That attention to detail shapes how he prepares both straightforward petitions and complex defense cases.

He currently represents individuals and families in immigration matters at Kyung Immigration Law Office, A Professional Law Corporation (KILO Immigration).
