About Rachael Z
Rachael Z Ardanuy earned her J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2012. She began her legal career soon after, gaining admission to practice in Florida and later also in Colorado. Those dual admissions have shaped a career that crosses state lines and regulatory regimes.
Early in her practice Ardanuy gravitated toward the regulatory and business issues surrounding cannabis. She joined the Florida State Bar in 2012 and became active in Colorado legal circles by 2014, the year she joined the Colorado Bar Association and began participating on the legal committee of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Lawsuits. Memberships in trade and bar groups followed. She is a member of the CBA Cannabis Law Section (since 2017), the National Cannabis Industry Association and the National Cannabis Bar Association (both since 2018), and Denver Women of Cannabis (since 2018). Those affiliations reflect sustained involvement in the industry and in reform-minded legal work.
Her work blends regulatory compliance, licensing, and transactional matters. She advises businesses on how to meet state licensing requirements, draft policies, and structure operations to comply with shifting rules. The practice also touches on contract negotiations and local permitting. Clients range from start-ups to more established operators who need counsel on everyday business decisions as well as emergent regulatory challenges.
Collegial involvement has been a constant. Ardanuy’s memberships in national and state organizations have provided opportunities to engage with peers and policy debates. She has participated in association activities since 2014 and maintains current memberships that span advocacy groups and professional sections. That engagement keeps her connected to developments in both Florida and Colorado law.
Ardanuy practices under the name Rachael Z. Ardanuy, Lawyer at Law, P.C. She represents clients in matters arising under Florida and Colorado law, handling licensing, compliance, and business-related disputes and transactions. Her current practice focuses on cannabis regulatory and business law matters.
