About Robert B.

Robert B. Goss draws on an uncommon mix of engineering training and legal education. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in aerospace engineering from Texas A&M University, and later completed a Juris Doctor at Cumberland School of Law. He also pursued advanced legal study at the University of Houston Law Center, where he earned postgraduate degrees in health law and in intellectual property and information law. Those academic moves show an early interest in technical and regulated fields.

His professional life began outside the courtroom. In the early 1980s he served in the U.S. Air Force as an instructor and aircraft commander. That period added operational and leadership experience to his technical background. He then shifted toward law, spending time as a legal intern in 2005 in a Department of Corrections lawyer’s office through an Alabama honors program. By the late 2000s he was practicing under his own name.

Goss is admitted to practice in a wide array of forums. He holds memberships and admissions that cover the state bars of Alabama and Texas, several federal district courts in both states, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Court of Federal Claims, the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is also active in professional organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Court of Federal Claims Bar Association and local bar groups such as the Houston Bar Association. He is a member of the Health Law Lawyers Association as well.

His legal work reflects that educational and admissions background. He has handled matters that intersect health law and intellectual property, and he appears in forums that include federal claims and veterans’ appeals. He routinely engages issues that require both technical literacy and familiarity with federal procedures. That combination makes him a pragmatic choice when cases raise specialized regulatory or technical questions.

Goss operates a small practice under the name Robert B. Goss, PC. He manages cases across state and federal courts rather than large-scale firm administration. In recent years his caseload has included appeals and filings in federal courts and tribunals that hear specialized claims. He is active in professional circles that align with those practice areas and appearances.

He currently practices under the firm Robert B. Goss, PC, handling matters involving intellectual property, health law, federal claims and veterans’ benefits.
