About Robert S

Robert S Freund built his legal foundation in two classroom settings that shaped different sides of his work. He earned a B.A. in economics from the College of William and Mary in 2009, then went on to receive his J.D. from the University of California, Davis in 2012. Those years framed an interest in public-sector consumer matters and the finer points of civil practice.

Early in law school he took a position as a consumer protection law clerk in 2011 at the Alameda County District Lawyer s Office. That role placed him amid investigations and regulatory work. It also gave him practical experience in drafting enforcement materials and advising on statutory compliance. The clerkship preceded his entry into private practice and provided a grounding in the public-law side of consumer litigation.

After completing his degree, Freund joined Greenberg Traurig, LLP as an associate in 2012. At the firm, he worked on matters typical of a large national practice, gaining exposure to complex filings and collaborative litigation teams. His time there added depth to his courtroom and drafting skills. It also provided a counterpoint to his earlier public-sector work, showing how regulatory issues and private disputes intersect.

Freund is admitted to practice in California and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Those admissions reflect both state-level and federal appellate capability. He has handled matters that require attention to procedural detail and appellate briefing, while also managing the everyday demands of state-court practice.

Today he operates under the name Robert Freund Law. His practice brings together the two threads of his career: public consumer work and private civil litigation. He regularly engages in case preparation, brief writing, and client counseling. His background includes experience drafting enforcement-related documents from his clerkship and handling complex filings from his time as an associate.

Colleagues and clients describe him as methodical and thorough in his preparation. He tends to approach cases by breaking them down into discrete issues and then addressing each with targeted research and controlled advocacy. He balances courtroom readiness with attention to procedural steps that often determine outcomes long before trial.

He continues to maintain admissions in California and the Ninth Circuit and practices from his office as Robert Freund Law, representing clients in state and federal matters.
