About Stephen
Stephen Baird earned his law degree from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. He completed a legal education that prepared him for practice in a variety of settings. He moved into practice in North Dakota and built a career handling matters in the state courts.
Early in his career he took on the everyday work that keeps a small practice running: client interviews, pleadings, court appearances and transactional matters. Those experiences shaped how he approaches problems now. He learned to balance quick decisions with careful legal analysis.
Baird is admitted to practice in North Dakota. Over time he established the Baird Law Office. There he serves clients who need counsel on state-level matters and representation in hearings and trials. He manages casework and the practical demands of running a standalone practice.
Clients describe his work as straightforward and practical. He handles filings, negotiations and courtroom appearances, and he is involved in both contested and noncontested matters. He reviews documents, prepares motions and briefs, and represents clients at administrative hearings and in court. He also spends time advising on transactional issues that often arise for individuals and small businesses.
Outside the courtroom he focuses on client communication and case management. He aims for clear explanations and timely responses to inquiries. That approach guides how the office schedules work and prioritizes tasks.
Today he operates from the Baird Law Office, serving clients across North Dakota. He continues to handle litigation and transactional matters for individuals and businesses and to provide counsel on state-level legal issues. He currently focuses on providing legal services to clients in North Dakota through the Baird Law Office.
