About T. Matthew Wolfe
T. Matthew Wolfe II built his path into tax law through concentrated academic training. He earned his J.D. from Concordia University School of Law in 2016 and completed an LL.M. in the Graduate Tax Program at Boston University School of Law in 2017. Those credentials reflect a quick progression from general legal education into specialized tax study.
After finishing his LL.M., Wolfe moved into practice at Generations Law Group. He joined the firm as a tax lawyer in 2017 and has continued his work there. His role has centered on advising clients on tax-related matters and representing them in tax proceedings. The position placed him in regular contact with both the technical rules of tax law and the practical concerns of individuals and businesses managing tax obligations.
Wolfe is admitted to practice in Idaho and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court. Those admissions allow him to appear in federal tax litigation and to handle state tax compliance matters on behalf of clients. Admission to the Tax Court requires familiarity with federal tax procedures, and Wolfe’s academic background underscores that part of his practice.
Colleagues describe his work as methodical. He approaches tax questions by parsing statute, regulation, and administrative guidance. That translates into day-to-day tasks such as preparing tax submissions, reviewing positions for audit risk, and counseling clients on potential exposure. He handles both transactional questions and dispute matters, drawing on his LL.M. coursework when statutory interpretation or detailed tax research is necessary.
Outside formal filings, Wolfe’s background supports advisers and taxpayers who need a lawyer comfortable with technical tax concepts. He has stayed with Generations Law Group since his start there in 2017 and maintains practice ties to matters that involve federal and state tax law. He currently focuses his practice on tax law matters.
