About Zachary Chase
Zachary Chase Richards earned his law degree from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in 2010. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, receiving a B.S. in Business Administration in 2006. Those academic years set a practical tone. He studied law after a foundation in business, and that combination guides how he approaches disputes and client counsel.
He began legal work immediately after graduation. In 2010 he served as a law clerk at Aguiar Injury Lawyers. That early role placed him inside a practice handling injury matters, giving him exposure to client interviews, case preparation and the early stages of litigation. Three years later he joined the Kentucky Bar Association and expanded his professional affiliations to groups focused on trial work, including the American Association for Justice and the Kentucky Justice Association. He has maintained those memberships since 2013.
Richards’s career path has followed a steady arc toward civil litigation on the plaintiff side. His education and his clerkship experience align with that direction. Over the years he has worked on cases that require negotiation with insurers, preparation of discovery, drafting pleadings and presenting arguments to judges and juries. He has kept active in professional organizations that emphasize courtroom advocacy and rules that affect injured parties and consumer protections.
His peers and colleagues know him as an attorney who blends practical business training with courtroom practice. He approaches each file by breaking issues into manageable tasks. He pays attention to deadlines and to the factual record. He emphasizes clear communication with clients and opposing counsel. That approach affects case strategy and client expectations alike.
Outside of individual matters, Richards continues to follow developments in Kentucky law relevant to civil claims and trial practice. He participates in continuing legal education offered through local and national groups and maintains his professional memberships. He has not sought public office or public leadership roles in those associations, choosing instead to focus on casework and client representation.
